The Poetry Train on Junajpu Day!poetry_train

The poetry train starts on June 20th at 23:57 when the summer solstice takes place. It will last for 24 hours. It's in honor of Junajpu, aka Quetzalcoatl, from whom Coatlism Press derives its name. The quetzal is a symbol of spirit and abstraction and the coatl is a symbol of matter and detail. Together they form the feathered serpent. In Chichen Itza, one of the ancient capitals of Mayan Civilization, during the Spring equinox the sun hits the main temple in a way that makes it appear that Quetzalcoatl is slithering down the stairway. On June 20th, the summer solstice, we will slither through the wiki in a great big poetry serpent.

How will this work?
Everybody starts a poem, one or two lines is all, and sends it to the next member. Please note that if you click "Members" above you will get a full list of all wiki members. We have all been numbered, so if you're #1 you should send your line or two to member #2. The second person, or "receiver", will then add to it, or mash it up, or tweak it, or photoshop it, or turn it into a short movie or music video, and then pass it to the next person after doing any one thing to it. Like this we make a great big collaborative snake-train.

What should I do now?
Prepare your first two lines and get ready for the Coatlism Poetry Train!

What will happen when it's all finished?
The Yesman! will gather up all the finished projects and put them here and/or litchaos.com and/or mass-email them to all of us so we can all enjoy the final product.

Is there any twist?
Of course there's a twist. The order can be broken. In honor of the quetzal (bird) part, you can pick anyone, out of order, even outside of the litchaos.com community to continue. In other words you can break the train, or double the train and send to two people, or multiply the train and send to five people. It's all up to you. The only thing that you MUST do is keep the train moving!

The locals home cooking
is too salty
I can't take one more bite

and why does everthing have fish
this looks like french fries
it's actually thinly sliced sea urchin!

there's a tower up over there
50 locals are hanging upside down from
strings pegged to the top
the tower spins
they are flying upside down

I would do it but I'm too salty now
